However, it is not the hype, full of power kind... but rather those decent, simplistic kind. Why? Coz it is customized to fit nicely into my online portfolio's theme. Uniformity... yeah~! The online portfolio website is in fact an assignment for my web design module. Well, took the liberty to have the blog included in it. I setted up the website so as to keep my work online and compiled so that it saves me tons of trouble when I have to make a website for my fusion show in year 3. Talking about planning ahead hur~! But well, currently not much work has been put up... due to the fact that, I do not have much decent work to put up. But I'll put them up... just need a bit of time only~!
So just hope that this website can rack me a good enough grade! An 'A' maybe...? Haha... guess I'm a bit too ambitious. But well, I did my best so I hope for the best~!
So well... for those who wander into my site... have a nice stay~!

Rush hour!

A very long day for me today. Had my DSNV from 8am to 10am, Web Design from 10am to 12noon. Then rush over to A323 for training from 12noon to 4 plus. That means no lunch break inbetween... Sigh... by 11 plus my stomach starts to SMS me already... Luckily I grab a few quick bite at the Mac. Had a cheeseburger... Didn't really like fast food but no choice... have to get something if not my gastric is going to protest... and when it do so... that means hell for me.
Did some storyboarding for my training today. Ting Zhao's group's storyboard in my opinion is the best between the 3 group, although it is a bit too long as mentioned by Mr Andrew Bodor. Or maybe it is Wen Hao's presenting skills that bring the best out of the story. But well, my group's Sarah did a good job too.
Had my web design today. My goodness... what the heck... what must we go and memorize all the coding for html? I believe I don't really need to know all that. I mean... I admit that I'm not a programming person if not I would have done well back when I'm in Electronic Engineering... Now we have all those web designing software like Dreamweaver , MS Frontpage and a Cascading Style Sheet coding generator like Cascade DTP V4.
You can download Cascade DTP V4 at the links below:

Cascade DTP V4

Well... with all these program... I think I don't really need to know the coding loh... Unless it is very neccessary...
Ok... gonna stop~! Shall blog another time!

A risk that I must take...

"The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty." - Winston Churchill

A risk that I must take... yes... and I will not give up till I lost every bit of my strength that is left in me... For I have said to Mr Yang Tien, that the Talent Development Program is what I want.

Yes... these few days of uncertainty and confusion has clouded my judgement. I have lost that focus. I have lost that determination that I have shown Mr Yang Tien during the interview... I began to think that everything is wrong except me... Well... and now I remembered... the greatest enemy that I once faced before has returned. It tells me... it is a wrong move to be in this program. I can't make it. I am going to be out of the program because I can't perform. My future is dark and gloomy because once I'm out of the program, there is no way for me to catch up with the rest. I even have the impression that this program is created because of Mr Yang Tien's selfish objectives...This... enemy of mine... just keep spreading negativity to me... but then, the Pain that I have went thru... have left a scar deep enough to remind me... that I must not fall into the same folly again. I recognized this enemy...
NO MORE... I told myself, this shouldn't be my attitude. I knew I had that strength in my heart to conquer all the challenges that I'm going to face. I KNEW THAT! Which was why I have shown that strong determination and passion when Mr Yang Tien asked me whether I really wanted to be in this program. And then... all things seem clear once again. I know what I want again. I know where my focus should be... and that is the Talent Development Program! To hell with all the 'what if I failed' mentalities. Why start a war when you think that you are going to lose? If you are in it, FIGHT and you must win. There should be only one thought and that is to excel in this program...
All the uncertainties were cleared when Mr Yang Tien met us after the training to answer to all our queries. He mentioned about attitude... which brought me back to reality. He made me realised the same old trap that I almost fell into. I can just say... Thanks, Mr Yang Tien... you saved me!
Dream... Man dreamed that he can fly like the birds in the sky... He held closed to the dream until a day, this dream morphed into a very strong belief. This belief propelled him to come up with the invention, aeroplanes... and now man travels from one continent to another in a matter of days. It is also this belief that creates all the inventions today. Mr Yang Tien believes that he can create a group of people that can ultimately raise the standard of the whole cohort. To make NYP visible on the world map... That is his dreams... and now, this shall be my dream as well. I know that a lot of people are not favorable of this program... some might even think that this will end up a failure and we, the students in the program will ended up being the 'hate' object in the eyes of many... but aren't this the price that one must pay for his dream? Wright Brothers have to isolate themselves to hide away from skeptism so that they can concentrate on their project to fly! All things come with a price... I am willing to be part of the dream, Mr Yang Tien! I am totally aware of the risk I'm put into...and I'm mentally prepared for it, even if the odds are totally against us, I'm not going down without a good fight!

BLOG WHILE YOU CAN!

Yah... like what the title for this entry says... blog while you can! First day of school... yup, as in for Year 2 that is. Went for the training conducted by Andrew Bodor, a professior from Sheridan College. Wonder how he would react when we told him what does it means for 'Bodor' (same pronouciation for Bodoh) which is Stupid in Malay. Haha... well, he is a very nice guy... and bubbly one... due to his tummy, reminds me to do sit ups regularly every morning...
Well, have to do a lot of painting and drawings... judging from what he told us and what he expected of us. However, I feel that it is going to be hell lot of fun studying under him.... and er... stress as well.
Major COCK UP for the schedue today! The timetable stated 11:10am is the time my group to have 3D Modelling lesson, and well... when I arrived, then I knew that the class actually starts at 9am. The lesson for this week is at 9am then the following weeks we shall have it at 11am. The best part is that... NONE of us are informed about it. Thus resulting me wasting my whole morning, sitting for the class when it almost finished and not understanding the whole shit about the Maya program... It is really feed up when you can't understand a thing and your classmates simply just move on. Well, obviously the people who never bother to keep themselves updated about the change in the timetable actually benefits by sitting in for the class at the wrong time. Talking about the Right Mistake. Well, shan't dwell on it anymore... it just filling up shits in me.
After the training, Ms Lee Yeh Woey talked to us regarding the modules that we will be exempting due to the Talent Development Program. Except for Digital Sound and Video module and the Web Design 1 module, I don't have to take the rest of the modules. That means I only need to take 2 out of 6 for the whole semester. My 3D modelling will be taught by someone from Maya company... and it will be a very intensive one. Well... this is definitely a good news for us as it really loosen our burdens a lot. But well... the bad news is that, on my way home, received a call from Sean. He said that the Director felt that we have been exempted from TOO MANY modules and that means that they are planning it again. So... right now, still don't know what modules we are going to exempted from... Well... here I am... Pissed off again!
I mean... what the hell... they should finalised the whole matter before breaking the news to us... make us happy for one thing... and what the F**K, what does it means by TOO MANY exempted modules... Here... my few cents of opinion, the program was formed to concentrate on the few students and making sure that they turn out to achieve the best results... There will be a lot of trainings that will be related to what we will be learning at the modules taught to the common cohort... just that these trainings we will be taking will be very intensive... 3D skills that should be taught over the semester will be squeeze into a few weeks time frame. This means that the stuff we will be learning is a repetitive from what we going to get from the modules! And come on... Director... You expect us to be focus and clear of our objectives and well... WE DID... and now you all should be the same as us! What to you want from this training program? The training is to be a supplementary to what we learn from the modules or to solely train us on a DIFFERENT basis... To make sure we took up the skills in double quick time? I mean... there is no point wasting our effort and resources, diverting our attention on modules that are going to repeat what we are going to learn from the training! Why should we do that? It is not the matter about having more or less modules so that it look nice to our parents or to the rest of the cohort, you the Director must know what you want to achieve as well! I can foresee the huge amount of assignments we are going to juggles between the modules and the training... Do we have the energy to cycle throught all of them? If you increase the amount of modules for us to take... what is the result? Yes, we shows that we do take almost the same modules as the rest... so what? The rest of the cohort is happy... so what about us? We take all the shits then we break down. Yes... we can take it... but what will you get in the end... shitty craps for all the assignments and for the training program. Then Mr Director, what are you going to do? Telling us that, 'Oh, why you didn't perform?' Yah... we will be glad to tell you that, it is because of your short sightness and bad management! Oh well... we would not tell you that. Why? Because this is a bloody society where the top hierachy will not except their mistakes brought up to them by peoples at the bottom of the foodchain! For safety sake... all of us will be avoiding the issues for political reasons~! Just agrees with what Yina feels... DMD do really sucks... especially the top management...
Come on... lets not having modules for the SAKE of having modules... exercise flexibility... Now I fully understands why some people said that the Director are more of an engineering person.
I do really want to point out how much similarity between this DMD management thingy in compare to Singapore government on the whole... but I shan't elaborate on it or talk about it... It is simply too much frustration to talk about it. Just one simply logic. The top management are simply arseholes who can't settle the real problem and in turn, turned around and F**K at their own people's backside!
Well... gonna stop... if not all my anti-government emotions get flare up and shines brightly to be noticed by the ISDs lurking in the internet, spying on all the people who dare to sprout negativity about the wonderful government. Well... Singapore is a free country, isn't it~!

You reap what you sow

Had my semester briefing last Friday. Good day to see all my group 11 friends! It has been a long time since I last seen them. Well, they have been having good life I can see... Hee... Had the long briefing and know who are the top 10 students for the semester 2. Yeah~! I got 3rd in placing! Although I hope for 1st... well, talking about the endless greed of mankind. You just don't get enough. Haha. But nevertheless, I am still happy to know the ranking. Did put in my best and this is what I get. You reap what you sow, so this is what I truly deserve. Same goes to those 2 above me... damn you! haha... just joking. Know them too, very nice and talented people. They deserved it too! Well... my quest to the top never ends here. Shall work harder and better to achieve the best!
Went for a pool session with my classmates after the briefing... although kinda busy, coz works are pilling up at home.. haha... but then, it is not easy for us to go out or meet up together anymore... thus just go and have fun with them~!
Well... this coming semester's planning of timetable and group is really confusing. Till now I still don't know which class I'm in... and since I got into the Talent Based Study program, I'm going to have a different time schedue than the rest of the cohort... I need to plan my time ahead...
Going to have 3D Modelling lesson on Monday 11am... but till now I still did not get any confirmation from Ms Lee Yeh Woey regarding the meeting time and place for my training... Just heard from Yina that it is at 12noon. My goodness... that means I have to skip my lesson at my first day of school... Somemore it is on the program that I knew nuts about... How can like this... Guess I have to look for other source to get my information about 3D computing from~! Still... looking forward to the start of the school term... can know who my new classmates are! All the BEST to all the folks from DMD0411! I knew you all can do it! Have faith and the passion... with that you can conquer whatever obstacles that are in your path to success! ...jiayou!

Back...

Wah... long time no blog liao... Well, a little update on hows my life is~! Life is good, busy only. I was shortlisted to take part in a talent based development program. 20 students were called up for an interview with the Deputy Director Mr Yang Tien. Went for the interview... wow... he really caught me off guard. Ask me questions that I don't really know how to answer. But well... just speaks the fact and must let him feel the fire in your eyes... I did that... and well, I'm IN! together with the other 8. So a little about this program... eh, basically we were selected and trained by professiors/lecturers from Sheridan College and we will be intensively trained to pick up production skills at double quick steps! Main objectives is to produce more works and gain experiences on the major projects which we should be doing in year 3... but the only difference is that, we get to work on those at year 2. Thus by year 3, we can guide the rest of the cohort, hopefully raising the standard of the cohort ultimately. Well, all this happens 1 week ago... now the training has started off with a 4 day sculpturing workshop. Did a sculpture on a human face and torso... well.. although my character is not a human but rather a devil... haha... simply loves those horns... Really enjoy the workshop! Well, the other 8 students, they are very nice, didn't really have that elitist aura thus mix really well with them... the only down side is... THEY ALL SPEAK FREAKING GOOD ENGLISH~! As ya know... my england is very sibei powderful lah... I simply can't find sufficient vocabs to maintain a decent conversation... but what the heck... at most I use the most primitive language... sign language... hee... One of them, by the name of Yina... haha, got to know from Yuling that she is also from Zhonghua Sec... wow... come and think of it... when I graduated, she wasn't even enter Zhonghua yet... and now we are together in the same study program, working together~ by the way, she is freaking talented... same goes for the others!

Hey, just got my Studio Project 2 results... that completes my whole Semester 2 results. Anyway, aren't going to get too boastful from it... Don't want to follow Lucifer's footsteps. The once most beautiful angel, fallen from grace because he thinks too highly of himself that he forget that God who is the creator of all, are way too perfect and beautiful than him.
Got to work even harder to achieve even better results for the next coming semester! Seulement Le Meilleur... that means "Only the Best' in French~! My new personal motto!

My personal website is on the way. Should be finish in another few weeks. This blog should also be within it, that means a new layout will be given to this blog. Haha... so, stay tuned on Skyrion's Warp Nexus~!

Busy busy...

Oh man... school work are piling up and I do not have all the time in the world to complete it. Actually... it is not the difficulty in it that took up the time but rather the time needed to prepare the stuff. Got my assignment 3 instruction for my Digital Imaging. I got the concept but I need to get a rusty looking uncle, a lady and a child to be my actor... Hmmm... and I need a digital camera... I know that my school work will definitely require me to get a Digital Camera... but what the hell, the camera nowadays are so expensive. Those cheaper one are like junk, simply not the ideal ones for designer use. Those that are moderately good are around the range of 400 to 700 plus... Where to get the money man... Took a liking for Olympus C750UZ. It is nice, moderately good and price is at the ok range (although it is still too much for me to handle) I really hope I can get my hand on it. Well, no point complaining... I guess at the meantime, I have to find methods to get money.
Almost finish my Design Fundamental's Assignment 2 -packaging design. My first time doing packaging. Almost finishing it... Although my tutor Mike Oh didn't complain much about the design... but I still find something lacking in it. Since I still have about 1 week plus till submission... I have to work on it further... maybe even to change the design totally.
It has been a while since I last blog, it is not that I don't blog anymore but because school work is simply too much for me to find time. I believe this blog will remain quite empty and slow to update for a while till I end my current semester.
Hmmm... talking about this blog... I was thinking of revamping this blog and give it a new look. It will have a more unserious look and more hype in it... Background music will be mostly those Initial D kind... (don't know how to classify music categories... hee). Just feel that we only have one life to live thru... why not make it HAPPENING and hype~! Well, this revamping project will definitely took a while. Reason has been stated above... I guess... Thats all~!

His first time...

Hee... very cute~!

So long never update the blog le... Looking forward to the T-shirt design competition and also my Digital Imaging Assignment 1. First prize, USD1000. Freaking lots of money, can last me a semester, definitely. The recent tragic event of killer tsunami have also drowned the atmosphere of New Year... But anyway, Happy New Year folks! Hope the new 2005 will be a better one!
Talking about tsunamis, volcanoes, quakes and tonadoes... Have interest in those too. Geography is also one of my favourite subjects in secondary school. Those theories about plate tectonics and etc... Anyway, while browsing through the cyber looking for volcanic activities, came across an interesting theory regarding the Lost Continent of Atlantis mentioned by Plato.

It is a bit wordy and you might find it boring if you have no interest in geography. Well it is about South East Asia being what is the remain of the Lost Continent, Atlantis. The picture above is the geographic map of the South East Asia before and after the flood which result in the 'sinking' of the mythical continent of Atlantis. You can click on it to view a larger version of it.
Here is the website:

Atlantis Recovered!

Discuss about this theory with my aunt from Indonesia and she said that there is a very old saying about 'the sinking of one, giving birth to seven maiden'. She explained that the 'seven maidens' are the seven major island of Indonesia (excluding the small islands... anyway Indonesia is reputed for being the Land of thousand island). Well, if you have visited the website I linked above... aren't it the sinking of Atlantis that formed the Indonesia Archipelago, Malaysia Penisular, Thailand and including Philipines. Coincident? Maybe... Well, plate tectonics activities are very active in these region... It is not surprising if they can sunk an entire continent... after what we have witness the recent event of killer tsunami gobbling up large masses of land, changing the map of Sumatra.

Computers...

My Digital Imaging Module's exercises have to be handed in this coming Thursday... and my damned PC which is running on Window ME, cannot install the freaking Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop CS. Man... I have to wait till I get my hand on Illustrator 10 and Photoshop 7... Talking about computers being man's best helper... Pui~!
Think of the time I'm thinking about fixing bugs on the system...

Well anyway, some new addition to my blog. I have got a forum! Hey pips, you are welcome to pen any stuff there! Yup, don't have to register to post message there, to avoid any hassle. You can post any stuff you want but NO PORN! Hee...
Anyway, besides porn and sex, there are tons of stuff to talk about anyway. For my friends from DMD, we discuss about design there. For gossiper, you are welcome to gossip about who is the 'chiobu's or 'yandao's from your class or workplace (best if you can post a pic here... hee...) If you want to know more friends, can always come here (but first, you must bring friends also). Any stuff you want to trade, welcome at the forum too! I try to make the forum a place for all people to throw their frustration at... afterall, life in Cinkapore is super stress due to all the policies our 'garment' set!

Well here's the

FORUM

Yup, that is about all!

To remember...

Yup, Merry Christmas to all of you! So fast... 6 more days to a year coming to an end. Just to wish everyone to have an enjoyable time whether at home or out crazily partying with friends (damn you party animals! Hee...)! Nevertheless, while we are partying away, let us not forget Jesus, the One who gave up his life for our sin so that we may live. This is a day for us to remember his sacrifice!

Still can remember my parent used to told me that if I'm good, this freaky old man called Santa Claus will come and give present. Nay... Think... nowadays, it is more probable that a freaky person who has been put out of jobs for months and desperately look for money will drop by and try to break into our unit. Santa is just another outdated advertising gimmicks used by businessmen to attract buying power... Christmas, even the name indicate that it is a festive season to commemorate Jesus Christ. It is not for a freaky old man called Santa... if not, it will be called Clausmas already. So go to hell, you Santa!

But nevertheless, Christmas is still a public holiday for friends to get together and enjoy quality time together. So let us enjoy the every minute of Christmas!

Save Skyrion Campaign

With the deferment saga far from over, me, Skyrion have come face to face with another serious problem... I suffered from a serious disease, in actual fact, it is a malnourishment of a certain important kind of vitamin that is essential to survival; Vitamin M.
Attended the lectures this morning and Amy (the lecturer) keeps blabbering away, wanting us to buy this or buy that. Two textbooks at the price of $43, animation paper, marker paper, markers and other equipments that can easily mounted up to a hundred bucks. Whats more, she said that it will be wise if we buy a portable harddisk as we will need it. Eh hello, a god damn p.harddisk is easily more that a hundred bucks.
My goodness... it is not like our father are some tycoons that can easily buy a sports car for their playboy sons! Spent quite an amount since last semester for materials and now I'm broke... Family in need of cash to nurse my mum's health back and yada yada yada... Simply put it, right now I'm just a freaking poor with 'lot of passion for art but no bread money for tomorrow' diploma pursuing poly student!
Well, I have to find some ways to earn fundings for my costly course.

Yup, I have to put the stuff I learnt into use! I'm a free-lance designer now! Thou I'm still learning (I'm getting better and better), with my current knowledge, I still can put up pretty good (worth for buying) works. I can do logo design, webpage design, blog template design, T-shirt design and any other form of design work. I am willing to take up the challenge and at the same time providing you with my BEST services which is to the BEST of my ability!
For my friends who are reading this blog, do me a favor! If you came across anyone who are looking for designers to design whatever stuff for them, can inform me? And also, help me keep a lookout for them! As for my price, it is definitely negotiable! I have your interest at first place! Yeah! Price is reasonable as I don't earn the money for leisure but rather just for me to tide through the cost incurred during my studies.
Well, thanks all of you friends in advance! Completed the game easily and now trying to tackle the game's side quest and optional bosses... Kinda familiar to Final Fantasy 7 (Ruby Weapon), the optional bosses are always too over powered that they can simply eat your characters for lunch.

Well, my drawing lecture is by dear Mr Jimmy Kang. Well, that mono-voice is like a lullaby, inducing you to fall into dreamland. Well, luckily my defence kinda high... He taught us how to draw ribcage using simple shape. Very useful in my opinion. Actually, Kimmy Kang knew a lot of stuff, knowledgeble... but he need to speak more and more spontaneous to share with the student. Well, I guess it is kinda hard for him to change!

Currently trying to create smiley for my MSN... wonder how come the resolution is that poor when the graphics is shrinked to usable size... guess I have to figure it out or ask some sensei for guidance... To conclude... a pretty nice day I have today~!

The 1st day

Nice Monday for me! Everything seems to go on pretty well! New tutor for my drawing module, Mr Tay K S. Initially, after my group finished the semesteral briefing conducted by Lee Yeh Woey, we were late by 15mins and Mr Tay wasn't really happy about it. I thought to myself, oh shit... another 'particular' tutor. It is like my spider sense tells me that he is not an easy character... Well... to my surprise, he gives of a fatherly figure as the lesson goes on! Can joke around with us. Unlike Jimmy Kang, he is willing to share the tips and tricks up his sleeves to us. Like drawing a perfect circle without using a compass... Yes, a perfect circle, without any equipment! Power... Drew a human skull for the first piece of work, the hip bones plus the legs (with feets) for the second! Felt the pressure... I guess I still need a bit of warm up!
Good news for me! I'm not the IC for group 11 anymore, as promised by Lee Yeh Woey, this baton will be passed over to the other person after a semester. Now the new IC is none other that Mr Remy! Yeah! He should have no problem leading the group to victory! Well, not that I don't want to be an IC, it is just that during the time where I'm having my SAE, I told myself if I got into NYP, I'll not be taking any leadership roles. Had too much CCAs in the past and I had my fare share of fun, I just wish to put in all my firepower on my studies... Guess now I am free again! Yeah!
Another good piece of news for me... I got the 9th position of the whole corhort in terms of results for my 1st Semester. A boost to my confidence and morale for my hardwork. However, I still feel that, I could have did better if I put in more effort! Now that I have to keep myself within the top 10 for the next 5 semester, this gives me another result to work even harder!
My goal: No. 1
Yeah! Always been my dream to emerge as the top student. Plain saying and goal setting is useless if I do not work hard on my part! I'll and definitely work even harder than semester 1, in order to attain the desire achievement I want!
My new motto: Only the Best!
I really wish that all my other tutors for the other modules are nice people also. Nice tutors makes the lessons a whole lot fun, don't you agree?

A new start!

Schooling tomorrow! Feel super excited! First week got a lot of lesson cancelled... and the whole of Friday no need to go school. This is good, I can spend the Christmas Party with FHY on Thursday without worrying about attending classes on Friday. Will be going over to Pamy's house to party!
Talking about FHY (Fu Hui Youth), although I'm not a Buddhist but have been helping out with some of their events over the few years... Got to know this youth group thru my friends Zhenrong and Zhikun. Can say that I helped out FHY not due to religious reason but due to friendship I forged witht the people there. Been getting lesser and lesser involved with their activities due to work (Damned NS) and studies! Well, nevertheless, will always try to help them out whenever there is time.

Yeah, my favourite lesson, Drawing! Will have it right in the morning! The last semester, I will have drawing after 2 hrs of lecture... by the time I start drawing, my energy level has been greatly sapped away le. This semester, I have it on the first day of the week, right after a good 2 days of rest. Whats more? No Jimmy Kang! Hahaha!

Here is my time table for this semester!

Time Table

Well, got to rest early, so that I have 100% energy to draw for tomorrow!

Hammie 2

Little pesker greets everybody!

Well, the 'balls' of this pesker has always been a 'BIG' issue in my family. Have always make a joke out of it. Hmmm... the size has never been small to begin with since I found him at my NPC. I guess, its not sick or whatever... has been like this for the past 1 year. It shouldn't be a problem as long as 'they' don't grow bigger. Hee... As for why it is so big... Can't find any explanation for it but I think it is the same case as human (I mean... not the ball part...) Some people have a bigger nose than others... So I guess this little pesker must have chosen a bigger balls to start with. As long as he don't find any difficulties walking ( I mean crawling...), shouldn't be my problem also. Hee... Remember? I did mentioned that he CAN jump pretty well. Think he must have pretty got used to the weightage over 'there'.

Tried to hold that little fella in my hand... actually my brother's hand. That pesker keep fidgeting around... and refuses to look at the camera. I think he simply camera shy. Don't worry, my brother kinda skilled and gifted in holding hamsters. No additional force was used to keep this subject under control. Simply just wait for him to face the camera, and me shooting him the moment he do so.

Hammie!

my 'big ball' hammie! cute right?
A little history about this pesker! I did not bought him from any shops but rather found him at my Neighbourhood Police Centre. It was wandering at my NPC thus I brought it back home. Love to sleep but very very active at night. Initially I only use a card board box to keep him at bay. But always find methods and ways to escape and start to explore my house. Until... I place him at my unused fish tank. Haha, no matter how hard it tries to escape, it still stuck inside. Hmmm... I always hear lots of noise in the night due to this pesker jumping in the tank, trying to escape. Yes... this pesker jumps! He got a very powerful hind leg and can jump quite high, despite the 'heavy weighload' near his end. Hee...
See the sunflower seed's dump around him. I dun really clear it for him that often. Lone hamster usually keep their spoilt hidden underneath the bedding. If you clear the bedding too often, this persker will get really workup!
I have a plastic house placed for him to sleep in it... but he never use it... Usually it will just lie anywhere on the bedding, either this position (in the pic) or the chinese character 'Da' zhi xing.
Well if I have any camera, I will posted more of this pesker. As for his age... I really don't know. When I got him, he is already quite big size!

Well, been practicing my drawing at home, but dunno what happen... my drawing is getting lousier and lousier. Think, maybe I not on form. Hee... Suddenly have the craving to draw sadistic stuff. Below is one of my drawing, colour added using adobe photoshop.

Concept is about an angel, being captured and torture. Unable to resist anger after being torture again and again, she starts to rebel. Blaming why God allows her to get suffered. This is the part where she starts... to fallen.

Hmmm... deferment saga haven't end, still waiting for reply from the F**k SPF. Better don't let me wait for too long... or else I send my hammie army go attack...

Infection

Nay... Here goes:

PNSmen are given 3 to 6 month's notice for their yearly recall. The advance notice is to give them sufficient time to make necessary adjustments to their work commitment so that they can attend to their NS duties as scheduled. However, deferment from recall may be granted for the following reasons:
-Compassionate grounds, e.g serious illness
-Death of next-of-kin
-Marriage/honeymoon and birth of child
-National representation at recognized regional and international games
-New Employment
-Newly established business
-Examination for studies (but only one such deferment is allowed in each workyear)
-Any other reasons which are considered urgent and valid.
Period of deferment should not exceed 6 month in each instance. A PNSmen is only allowed to apply for deferment from reserve service after he has attended at least one recall.
So? That means the call up for reservice on Feb 21 till Mar 10 is a die die case. Basket... how can I compromise my study for reservice? Intend to go find Course Director or Principal to get a letter to ask for deferment. If even this also fail, I'll have to go up the chain of command... that is the Ministers or even Prime Minister himself. I will NOT... I repeat, WILL NOT let such thing as reservice to effect my studies. I have gave up so many things for my studies and I'm not going to let any other stuff interfere with it! COME, challenge me! I'll take on this CHALLENGE! Die you SPF!

Due to the shifting changes in the academic calendar, the course term is expected to end somewhere in April or May. That means the reservice duty is somewhere in the heat of me handing up or preparing my second or last phrase of assignments from all my modules. IF I go for the duty, that means I'll have problems with my assignments. Well, in my course, grades are graded not on examination. There is no examination (Studio Project no exam la)! But rather, it is graded on all my handed assignments... So what is the end result?

F**king SPF 1 - Skyrion 0

0 means nothing, zilch, nil. No pass for my modules. Have to repeat modules! Waste my time! Time is not a luxury I can waste on my part... I have wasted too much time due to my own folly... So I will not let these bastards win! Come! Challenge me! Now my mood smells like faeces. Guess what? I received my first God damned letter from the f**king SPF that wants me to go and serve Reservist... I thought reservist only 2 weeks but this time I need to go for 20 plus day and guess what? In Camp leh... that means I cannot go home! WTF, served 2 and a half years liao now still have to do all these shitty stuffs that only waste my time. How can I discard my studies for these lousy stuff... Asked CK whether I can get deferment since I'm schooling. Well, he said that I can surely get defered but most probably I have to go back during my holiday/ school break. WTF... my course requires me to keep learning and progress de. How can I let 20 precious days goes to the undeserved SPF instead of using it to hone my design skill or drawing? My holiday no need to use for training my drawing meh?
I heard a story about a person who visit the circus (or zoo... I can't remember) and find that a big elephant is chained to a small tiny chain. He wondered how come a small chain can have the strength to keep the gigantic elephant at bay. He asked and the zoo-keeper/circus head (whatever) said that the chain is strong enough to chained the elephant when the elephant is young but not now. HOWEVER, because when the elephant is young, the elephant tries tons of times trying to break free... however Resistance is Futile (hey... I always want to said that...)! As time goes by, the elephant gave up resisting and...here goes your big elephant but is totally 'chicken' to try to break free from the chain... again.
So... what I'm trying to say? Well, I think we Singaporean in a lot of aspect... resemble the chicken elephant. We have to serve NS then Reservist since donkey years ago.... and now when these stupid stuffs happens to us, all we can do is grumble (which is what I'm doing now) and accept it as a 'bobian' fact. We dun even dare to oppose it. Damn... The government tyrannic rules are the chains that chains us since yester-years... I know a lot of ppl will say... ayar... ta por kia (guy)... reservist only, scared arh? Everyone must serve why only you must be different. Now let me annouce... I DUN GIVE A GOD DAMN CARE WHAT YOU SAY! I'm not a coward, if not, I wouldn't have finished my NS. It is just that I believe I can serve the country better in other way than serving stupid reservist. I don't want to be a chicken elephant. I'll think of ways to siam my reservist. Be it downgrading Pes Status or whatever. I DUN WANT to serve the bloody reservist till 40 plus. I shouldn't waste my youth on a single day... NOT A SINGLE HOUR on this lame stuff.
Another point, WTF does the police want people to serve reservist till they are 40 plus... they not enough those 'regular size' officer already meh? Think reservist should be around 30 then enough le... 40 plus uncles go guard key installation or going into war... come on lah... you want extra cheap manpower also cannot like that. If enemy see all the uncles with big tummies, they will laugh until peng! Guard installation... I rather go become a Takashimaya Shopping Centre security guard. At least better pay!
Don't dare to ask you all to revolt against the government, coz if I do that, the almighty ISD will catch me... ooohh... I'm so scared till I pee all over... nb... And our PM wondering why so many youth is leaving the country... hey, looked, they are looking for 'greener pasture'.
Nevertheless, enough of those grumbling... BUT I"M STILL ANGRY! Went to Pearlyn's house warming. It is really good to see some old friends like CK, Nelly, Kim and of coz my fellow councilors back in SRJC. Sad that Kai Wee cannot make it... Must organize outing for these folks soon! Yeah. New semester coming... simply can't wait for the school term to start and bury my head in all the artistic work. Hee...
To end, DAMN U, SPF!

Revamp!

First thing first! For those who have visited my blog, you all should notice the great (really great) difference in my blog! Yar, have given my blog a new face lift. Find that the previous blog have a problem of scrolling down content. It is simply too slow. So this new 'face' should remedy the pesky problem. A little bit about the design. If you find that the colour a little bit dull, well, I likes such colour combi. If you have seen my last blog, the colour combi is also about the same. If ya wondering what the round round thingy at the top right hand corner is about, well, I'm about to explain it. I tried to create the effect that you are in a spaceship looking out from the docking bay... ya know, the place where even smaller space craft took off. So the bright bright thingy at the top right hand corner (the one with a small 'portal' word), ya... that is the space portal. Obviously, that is the theme for my blog title: Warp Nexus. Well, can't blame ya if you don't understand what it is... normally those who likes sci-fi movie will most probably knew it. I tried to create an effect of distance from the portal. Well, success, I believe.
Well, ya ask, why space portal and not something else... When I create this blog, I view it as a place where I throw in my emotions and blah blah blah about my daily life. Well, for viewer such as yours, I meant to create it such as you all are entering a space/ place/ dimemsion/ whatever through a portal. Yar, that explains why I name my blog as Warp Nexus. Both terms, 'Warp' and 'Nexus' came from the sci-fi show Star Trek (I'm a trekkie).
Hmmm... guess that is about all for the design part. Those who knows me, should know my email, if ya wishes to throw in some feedback about my new design for this blog feel free to email to me. For those zombies that roams the cyber streets and happens to stumble upon my blog, any feedback can just post it on my tagboard or simply post comments on my articles... yar, see that 'comment' thingy at the every end of my articles? Yar, just click on it, you will see something that say 'reply'. Yar, click on it and you can post whatever comment ya want.
Take a look at this pic:

Look at the black round thingy at the centre.
Does it look familiar? Yar, I took it at Explanade and the black black round stuff is actually the same one at the top right hand corner of this blog. Well, make use of Adobe Photoshop, I have turn it into somewhat of what ya see now!
School starting soon! Really look forward to it. Seen the time table, all the subjects kinda fun. No more lame stuff like Comm Skill... simply took up too much time. Should have use it for us to practice drawing. Guess what? Jimmy Kang is not my drawing teacher le, is it good or bad, ya ask me, of coz it is good! Not that I have anything particular against him, but I guess that since we are new beginner to design, we should have a teacher that is a bit more pro-active is assisting us. Shouldn't keep telling us to 'look at it yourself'. If we can find the mistakes we made, we would have correct it. He should have direct us more.
Semester 2, wow, Story Boarding is one of the module. Since I'm going into animation, that is one hell of a important module. Gonna put in 1000% effort to perfect it! Yeah!

The 'Key' of life

Just back from Youwen's birthday party. Long time never see her le. Saw her boyfriend, hmmm... not bad not bad. Although never spoken to him but he gave me the kind of feeling that is someone who is harmless. 21st birthday... Can still remember how I wasted my 21st birthday... I got to waste it in a bunk packed with 20 plus squadmates back in Police Academy... damn... Anyway, it is over.
Hmmm... well, Youwen, if ya reading this, these are just some message I wish to pass to you. The 21st birthday, although it is just another ordinary birthday that you will have every year but it also a sign of you being 'officially' adult. Well, you get to vote for election... (Thats if your region gets to vote), watch R(A) movies and a lot more... hee... but that is not the point... I think, you should start to plan for your life. Know what you want in your life. I think MOST people never really think over what they want and they just slog through their life, till one day, realising that they have missed out a whole chuck of their lifespan pursuing practically nothing. Seen a lot of examples... a lot of them only get to notice it when they are in their later stage of life... Some of them... Only till their last moment. Maybe I'm lucky... I'm proudly to say that, I have found the 'KEY' to my life. I KNEW what I want thus I'm spending all my energy perfecting it. This 'KEY' I'm saying... is what that truly opens you to the world you really belongs to. I still have a long way to go in my life and that goes without saying, same to you, I'll definitely going to meet up with tons of tough challenges ahead... however, I have gotten the 'KEY', I knew that my path no matter how hard it will be, I'll still remain unwavered, heading towards my goal. For your 21st birthday, I wished that you have found the 'KEY' to your life... if not, soon enough. Start taking control of your life! Good luck pal!

My Result!

Yeah, got my result le. Must have been exciting for her...
Filled with memories of the past everytime I stand infront of her house... Not really good ones... Made a lot of big blunders in the past. Really big ones... My goodness... Well, I guess this is life. You screwed up, You learnt, then You Progress. Nevertheless, I will still treasures these memories... they are what that makes me into what I am today, for that... I am grateful.
Really wish her all the BEST in whatever she do... Especially her relationships with people... Always been having a few glinches... Well, maybe she changed a lot during these years and already remedied this problem. If that is the case, good for her!
Well... a bit about the card, a bit different from the past cards I made. Hee... making use of the knowledge I got from DMD. Now my card's design are making use of typography. Well... that should gives the card a more mature look.
25th, which is tomorrow. The result for my first semester is finally out. I'm trying to crack a lame joke, if you get it, good for you! 2 weeks to go... hmmm... now I'm not sure if I can last that long. Frankly speaking, after getting a taste of the job... I really admire my friend capability..as in the tolerance to stay in that line. Yeah, must work hard for it!

It is OVER~!

Finally the end of the Studio Project episode! Or should I say... Semester 1! Well... had my assessment by lecturers on my semester one's work! Yeah, I got throught it~! It is not that horrifying like what Rachel said. Heard from Yuling that some girls cried during yesterday's assessment... probably due to the lecturer's harsh remarks. However, today's assessment... I don't know hows the situation for others... but it went really well for me... a bit of criticism... but not what I can't handle... Maybe after a tiring day of scolding yesterday, the lecturers must have used up their 'venom'. Hee... Well, my Studio Project work and my personal work was taken by them and they said that some of them might be putting up for display. Hey, good news for me~! Well, I hope I can get back my portfolio... That big stupid black portfolio cost me 15 bucks... Just before my turn to get 'assessed', saw Sean came with no formal wear... shock the hell out of me... I thought everyone knew that the assessment requires everyone to wear formal... Think there is some communication break down... cause Yuyan, Shearlyn and Shahidah never wore formal as well... Nevertheless, all ends well, for the fact that none of the mighty group 11 break down and cry. Hee... my precious group simply a bunch of courageous folks!
Frankly speaking... after the assessment from the lecturers and the remarks they gave... I think I really had a lot to buck up... with my current standard... not just LucasArt... I think low level design studio will also finds my work... unprofessional... NEED to WORK on it~! MORE character designs, BRUSH UP my Pencil&Pen technique, my colouring/painting skills and etc... Well... I can just say... I'm FULL of the flame of passion and desire to acquire more skills, to be BETTER than ANYONE!
ARGGHHH! YEAH!

It's been a long while...

It's been a long while since I last blog. It is hard to find a good time to pen down my thoughts here. I find that it is more easy for me to draw in my mini sketch book than typing words... Well, so what happened during the past few weeks or months? Well, things are fine and I really feel grateful for being able to be back to school again. Whats more... to study a subject I'm always interested in. Currently having my Studio Project and the subject for my research is?... Rhinoceros Hornbill. You know... the kind of bird with a big horn near the beak? Kind of black... Well, although I never get to research on Eagle... sigh... well, some of my classmates are really lucky to do eagle, after learning more about the bird...actually I'm quite lucky already. Got my colour theory assignment 3 during the Studio Project, well I got a B+... sigh... I thought I can get a straight As for all my CT assignments... Well, nobody to blame... didn't put maximum effort in doing in. Should be able to get A, if I try more to achieve painting clouds... (assignment 3 is painting scenery... FYI). I realise many of my classmates improves a lot in their painting... wait... not just a lot... but a huge huge leap! REALLY HUGE LEAP. Well, notice a few of them... like Da Zhang, Yu Ling, Paula, Yian Phing, Soy Hoon and even Ken! Well, I see improvement in Ken... although a bit slow but I can still see it... I think he manages to grasp a bit of the techniques already. Hmmm... after seeing them improve so much to the extend of surpasses me... think I should put in more effort... talking about healthy competition~! Nevertheless... if I want to enter LucasArt... I have to be the BEST of the BEST!
2 more days to finishing my Studio Project... Wow, completed my 3D model... although compared to my workmanship back in Zhonghua Sec... it's like sh*t but it still look nice... luckily my hornbill have a very unique horn... that make it more easy to recognize the form... Once again, thanks LORD for letting me get this bird as my research subject. Hmmm...compared to the work of my classmates... I think I really need a lot of hardwork to improve even more... Arrgghh... I NEED more POWER! Feel like redoing all my drawings...but time doesn't allow me to do that...
Had soccer last Friday... think my health is really falling back... just a few run, I panted like nobody business... more worse, I experience aching on my chest... hmmm... think I'm not like what I used to be back in Zhonghua... Think besides practicing more on my ART, I need to exercise more as well... don't want to get a stroke while I'm still young.
I really like to thank God again for letting me tide through the hardship during the 1st Semester. Without your plan for letting me go through all the hardships during the past 6 years, I will not be able to be here, in DMD, to feel the greatness of being a student. To truly feel appreciated of all the challenges that brought forth to me. Thank you Lord...

The Mayonnaise Jar and Coffee

Hee... find this super meaningful. Hey, for those who visit my blog, take time to read this~!
When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a dayare not enough, remember the story of the mayonnaise jar and coffee...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front ofhim. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaisejar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if thejar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. Heshook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golfballs. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed itwas. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Ofcourse, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar wasfull. The students responded with an unanimous "yes". The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and pouredthe entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space betweenthe sand. The students laughed."Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want youto recognise that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are theimportant things - your God, family, children, health, friends and yourfavourite passions - things that if everything else was lost and only theyremained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things thatmatter like your job, house and your car. The sand is everything else - thesmall stuffs. "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there isno room for the pebbles or the golf balls." The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the smallstuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Payattention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with yourchildren. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner.Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix thedisposal. "Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set yourpriorities. The rest is just sand." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show that nomatter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups ofcoffee with a friend."When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgivenesscan erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we mustengrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.

Back here!

The fourth week of my life in Digital Media Design. One
day her teacher, a
nun, called on her while she was napping, "Tell
me, Margie, who
created the universe?"

When Margie didn't stir, little Johnny, an
altruistic boy seated in
the chair behind her, took a sharp pencil and
jabbed her in the
rear. "God Almighty!", shouted Margie.

The nun said, "Very good", and Margie fell back
asleep. A little
while later the nun asked Margie, "Who is our Lord
and Savior?"
But Margie didn't even stir from her slumber. Once
again, little
Johnny came to the rescue and stuck her with
pencil again. "Jesus
Christ!", shouted Margie.

The nun said, "Very good" and Margie fell back
asleep.
Then the nun asked Margie a third question. Got a mass games for we, the freshies (although I'm a old freshman...). This is how the game is played. There are 7 stations, each with a different game. The objective is to complete all 7 station and add up the total scores you obtained from all station. There are 12 groups competing each other in the game. After completion of a station, the group will be entitle with reward which are to receive either 3 points OR 1 point plus 1 token. If a group managed to collected 5 tokens, the 5 tokens will be able to redeem for a total of 15 points.
At each particular station, 2 different groups will compete against each other. The winner group will get the privilege to choose either one of the reward (3pts OR 1pt + 1 token). If the winner group decided to choose to take the reward of 3pts, the loser group will be rewarded with the 1 point + 1 token.
The game is rather strategically challenging. If a group manages to get 3pts for all 7 station, the total score will be 3x7=21pts. However, if a group manages to collect all 7pts+7 tokens from all the station, the total score will be 15pts(redeemed from the 5 tokens)+7pts=22pts. A group can also choose to get (5tokens+5pts)+ 3pts X 2(3pts for the remaining 2 station)=26pts. Nevertheless, if a group fails to collect 5 tokens, all tokens will be deem as 0 point. Thus the group must plan carefully.
So in this case, how would you play the game?

Dark Ages

Singapore got a major blackout yesterday. Actually want to watch Final Descent on Channel I when suddenly everything went dark. Things went out of control. My mum looked up and down frantically for candles and torchlights while my father totally stunned. Haha... well my two brother and me took it pretty well! My second brother said that blackout is normal and he went to bed...(wow, got character man~!) As for my youngest brother and I, we head straight out of our house to take a walk around the vicinity of our house to look at the situation. Simply chaotic, the traffic lights are not working! Seems like Indonesia to me... No regulation and order on the road...
However, this is a very rare chance to have a major blackout in Singapore. I took the chance to stroll around my neighbourhood. Wow, you can imagine how beautiful the sky is. Although there are some clouds in the sky, I can still see a lot of stars. I don't get to see the stars... usually they are too faint as they have been outshine by lights coming from our concrete jungle.
I remember a line in Macross Zero, "For every lights built on the ground, it steals the stars in the sky". I can imagine how the people in the rural area able to enjoy the beautiful starry sky.
Nevertheless, if one day, the whole of Singapore lost her electricity for more than a day, I can ensure you... how many Singaporean are going to go mad. We have rely too much on electricity, so much so, without it, our lives will be in absolute chaos.

What about me?

You are Form 0, Phoenix: The Eternal.

"And The Phoenix's cycle had reached
zenith, so he consumed himself in fire. Find it very inspiring. At the same time, I always feel that the replies that he answered to the reporter were actually directed at us!
I find that Singaporean on general, are too used to good life. As such, lost the ability to be flexible. They have also lost the courage to venture... Singaporean has this trait in them... 'KiaSee' (afraid to die). They simply too afriad to step out of the box! What's more? They have no focus in life! Heard from BK that when he was on abroad in China, Shanghai, he got to know this girl at a pub or something like that. She's 19 if I remember correctly. BK asked her what she would like to do in the future. Her reply was to do something that can be recognizable and benefit the society. I'm not talking about the 'pub talks' or 'I am noble lines' that usually come out from the mouth of a female clubber, I can't really remember the full cotent of it... but I am pretty sure that that lady has great visions! Definitely not the normal 19 years old girls you will find in Singapore. Even a 19 year old girl in China have this kind of mentality... Such level of maturity!
I can't deny the fact that people from China really have the 'want to succeed' mentality. Know quite a few of these people from China. They are really positive and efficient.
I believe, if the general Singaporean youth do not change their mindset, they are going to lose out! What are the thinking of a 19 years old youth in Singapore? Clubbing, playing, BGR and etc...
I remember a newspaper reports on a Chinese forum, about a student from China studying in Singapore, scrutinizing Singaporean students. The student commented that Singaporean students are too pampered and too inefficient. Quite a lot of negativity on it. Many Singaporean became defensive. I think, that China student's comment, do have some credibility in it. Instead of getting all defensive and rebutt that poor kid, we should actually reflect on it! If it is true for what he said, we should change!
That goes to show that Singaporean are unwilling to accept criticism!
In short, if we Singaporean still refuse to change our habit of over-reliance on the government, unreceptiveness to change and getting all defensive over a bit of criticism, we are going to suffer a lot. Our knowledge and maturity will never increase.

A penny for my thoughts!

Watched the Channel 8 news @ 10pm. Saw this Iraqi kids tremble with pain or shock from severe body burn after a terrorist did another 'explosive' act. Saw the news and immediately I feel glad for the fact that kids around that boy's age in Singapore are having a good sheltered life. I really hope that that kind of situation will persist. I feel sad for the kid... He has just became a victim of someone's ignorant. I don't care what the terrorists are thinking or how 'noble' their act are or what are their causes for doing that... why are they harming the innocents, such as the children?
If the terrorist at any point in time feel about injustices that has been done to them, aren't they also aware that by committing all these bombing act, they are also doing a great injustices to the children by taking their lives? A great injustics by denying them to have their share of experiences of life? To experience growing up, to learn new things, to get married and to have a family of their own? This is plain selfish!
What are they trying to show? To prove their point that they suffer injustices? They are hypocrites! They, whom are not able to give justice to other people are not worthy of justice!

Back Online

Whew... finally got my PC back after it went for a few days of 'MC'. After this incident, it further strengthen my belief that Norton Antivirus program is plain bull-shit! This is not the first time it gave me so much problem and slow down my progress in my design work... My PC have been sending this Netsky virus thingy to my friends to email. Ran a few scans of my PC using Norton but this lame program keep reflecting that my PC is clean. Just when I deleted some Ad-bot using Lavasoft's Adware, the whole systems go cranky. Did a check and found out that a particular configuration file in Norton is gone... and as such, I can't even logged into my PC.
Manage to get it repair by geting rid of the pesky and problematic Norton. Now my system runs smoother with less error messages. Damn the Norton!
Word of advice for designer, if you want a system purely for your design work, get Macintosh computer. They run on an OS which is less buggy than Window. There are so many viruses for Window that it will make you having the urges to jump out of the window.
Anyway, the only thing I'm glad now is that my PC is back without that pesky Norton brat in it!

The two monks.

Once, there is this 2 monks. One is called Xuanhui and the other is Xuanku. Each of them lives in a small temple on top of two different neighbouring mountain. Everyday, both of them will meet each other at the only well at the foot of both mountain to gather water without fail. However, during one of the particular morning, Xuanhui failed to see Xuanku at their common waterpoint. Xuanhui thought to himself, maybe he came earlier and have left already. With this, he took his water and return to his temple hoping that he will get to see his friend tomorrow again. On the second day, again, he failed to see his friend. Thinking to himself, maybe he is busy, unable to come today. He will see his friend tomorrow and ask what happened. On the third day, again, he failed to see the friend that he has always been seeing everyday, at the same time for the past 10 years. He got worried and decided to pay his friend a visit. He took his friend's share of water and proceed to his friend's temple. When he reached, he saw his friend, lively and well, practicing 'taichi' at the yard. He got puzzled and ask Xuanku why he had not gone to the well for the past 3 days? Won't he get thirsty without water? Xuanku lead Xuanhui to the backyard of the temple and show him the well that he has just finished constructed. Xuanhui was totally amazed. He clearly remembered that his friend's temple do not have a well. As such, he probe further. Xuanku told him... "You remember a year ago, you said to me that going down the mountain everday to fetch water is a tiring chores and a waste of a lot of time? Because of that, I decided to dig a well at my backyard to save myself the trouble of going down the mountain everyday. For the past 1 year, I continue to fetch water at our common well, but I make sure that I dig for the well everyday, a little by little. It is tough work, but still I have finished it. And now, I have more free time to do the stuff I want to do everyday."

What is the meaning of the story? If you find that many times many things in your life are making your life miserable, CHANGE it! Sometimes, we got ourselves landed in a situation where staying put, won't let you get far... Look for a way out. A person only get drowned when he/she continue to stay in the water.

Decision Making

"We are what we decided 3 years ago". Heard this from BK a few days ago. Here I am, about to enter the course that I SHOULD have gone into 6 years ago. A wrong decision I made 6 years ago causes me to end up what I am, today. I have learnt... Although, during the 6 years I have met, saw, learnt many new stuffs and persons, these years of detours in my life is still too much to bear. Have seen peers of the same age as mine going far in their life... I should have gone that far by now.
Still, I am glad that I am able to pursue my dream, again... This time, I will never let it slip pass me again... NEVER!
Have you ever met with a situation where you have to make critical decision for your life? Like getting married to a guy/girl? Choosing a course for your studies? Remember, you are WHAT you are going to be, 3 years from now, after you made that important decision today. Where will you be by then? What will you be doing by then? Who will you be with by then? We can always brush all these questions off by just saying that "I have No time to think about all these stuff, the future is too far for me". Problems are, when you ignored all these questions, a BIG Gigantic problem, snowballed from all these little buggers will HIT you right in your face! Making you cry in agony, thinking why you never seriously think about the future and planned for it in the first place. People don't plan to fail, but they failed to plan.
6 years ago, I should have ask myself these questions... If I am to choose between these 2 courses, 1)Digital Media Design and 2)Electronic Engineering, which is the one I really want? 3 years down the road, where will I be? If my career is based on the course that I decided today, will I love the job and happily doing it for the next 20 to 30 years? If I did... I could have saved a lot of time...
Plan! We need to plan ahead in our life!

Ten Tricks to Liven Up a Meeting!

1 . Stand up and act indignant. Demand that the boss tell you the 'real' reason this meeting has been called.
2 . Spill coffee on the conference table. Produce a little paper boat and sail it down the table.
3 . During a meeting, each time the boss makes an important point, (or at least one he/she seems to consider important), make a little noise like you are building up to an orgasm.
4 . Stay behind as everyone else, including the boss, leaves. Thank them for coming.
5 . Give a broad wink to someone else at the table. In time, wink at everyone. Sometimes shake your head just a little, as if to indicate that the speaker is slightly crazy and everybody knows it.
6 . Arrange to have a poorly-dressed young woman with an infant quietly enter the meeting, stare directly at the (male) speaker for a while, burst into tears, then leave the room.
7 . Bring a hand puppet, preferably an animal. Ask it to clarify difficult points.
8 . When there is a call for questions, lean back in your chair, prop your feet up on the table, smile contentedly, and say, "Well, here's the way I see it, J.B..." (or any other impressive-sounding initials that are not actually your boss's.)
9 . Complain loudly that your neighbour won't stop touching you. Demand that the boss make him/her stop doing it.
10 . Bring a small mountain of computer printouts to the meeting. If possible, include some old-fashioned fanfold paper for dramatic effect. Every time the speaker makes a point, pretend to check it in one of the printouts. Pretend to find substantiating evidence there.
